Seated Mountain Guided Meditation
Seated Mountain Guided Meditation: When emotions run high, the body often leaves the present before the mind notices. This gentle seated meditation brings you back, one point of contact at a time: your feet on the floor, the chair supporting your back, the length of your spine reaching upward like a mountain rising from steady ground.
Moving through three slow rounds, you'll be guided to notice what it feels like to be connected to the here and now, and to observe the small shifts in your posture and breath as your body settles.
Everything is optional and adaptable. If you can't feel your feet, you can look at them. If a stretch doesn't feel right, you back off. There's no wrong way to do this.
Ideal for anyone who needs a reliable way to steady themselves before a difficult conversation, after a stressful day, or whenever the ground feels far away. This meditation pairs naturally with the grounding and window-of-tolerance work in Dear Self: Finding Steady Ground.
What's included: MP4 guided video with calming nature scenery, MP3 audio for listening anywhere, and a PDF script with pacing notes so you can read it to yourself, record it in your own voice, or share it in a therapeutic setting.
